Description
0.5 Inch Double Fold Bias Tape is a smooth textured, crisp-feeling strip of fabric that is used primarily as a hem facing. Cut diagonally from plain woven fabric, 0.5 Inch Double Fold Bias Tape is soft and offers a slight mechanical stretch. With a total width of 1.5 inches, the tape comes folded and pressed three times into a “V-shape” with each side measuring 0.5 inches. This double fold makes 0.5 Inch Double Fold Bias Tape sturdy and gives it a thickness of 0.46 millimeters thick when folded or 0.23 millimeters thick when unfolded.
Add 0.5 Inch Double Fold Bias Tape to unfinished edges of fabric. Create bindings on quilts and make decorative seam finishes on apparel or décor. Furthermore, 0.5 Inch Double Fold Bias Tape can also be used in unconventional ways such as in dress piping, button loops, drawstrings, and other decorative applications.

Not bad, but I’m not purchasing again
This double fold bias tape works best on projects using thicker fabrics. I had the majority of my problems using it on curves and corners. It’s definitely a heavier material than the average sized needles can handle. My sewing machine struggled a lot with this, so be prepared to use an extremely durable and sharp needle if sewing by hand (good luck) or a larger needle size on a sewing machine. (90/14 is probably not going to be strong enough with a standard home machine.)
