Gorgeous fabric. Has a nice, smooth metallic sheen without being too "sparkly" like a lot of the cheaper options you find in stores. I used it to make a dress and a men's vest and it worked beautifully for both with no need for extra interfacing to hold their shape (though I could have used some for more structure if I wanted). You definitely need to leave a decent seam allowance and serge/zigzag any cut edges to avoid excessive fraying, but that's inevitable with any jacquard/brocade type fabric.

I spent some time reviewing each color of damask, and it was very hard to resist-so I did-n't! Very rich pattern, perfect for making Renaissance dress-es, etc. The other patterns can be used in 18th century garb, and for rich furniture upholstery or for luscious curtains. And the price is right too, far better than usual, these damask fab- rics are a bargain.
