United StatesEmbroidered Linen for 18th Century Ensembles--PERFECT!
This fabric is downright gorgeous and easy to work with. The only think I would do differently would be to purchase a bit more for matching motifs. Embroidered fabrics were very common in the 18th century, all done by hand... never mind my embroidery skills! The embroidery on these two pieces was done flawlessly, no loose threads or sloppy stitching. If you want a really fabulous garment, vintage or modern, go with this!

I love buying fabric from FWD and was obsessed with silks and then thought I'd try this embroidered linen (taupe/silver) and found a wrap dress pattern (the Wildwood Wrap Dress from Sew House Seven) but I'd only bought 2 yards, and I don't have quite enough! SO bummed! So I've ordered more and I can't wait to get it in! Such beautiful fabric~

This fabric is top-tier gorgeous. I bought the Sage/Steel colorway, and I cannot state enough how lovely this fabric is to work with. It's a medium weight with a full bodied drape, and is perfect for patterns that need some structure and body to hold their shape. The embroidery is beautiful and truly want to buy more colorways because it is not only beautiful, but so easy to work with.
