Classic Colors, lovely weave, nice quality
This fabric is perfect to make a shirt out of for a warm summer day. It looks beautiful with the classic blue colors of jeans or equally well with something red or white.
Very pretty fabric
This is a very light, very pretty cotton voile fabric. It is opaque. I am making a Style Arc Miranda skirt. It is the perfect weight for a gathered skirt.
Color fast, easy to sew
Upon receiving the fabric I preached it to get it ready for sewing. The Madras was surprisingly color fast. It washed and tumble dried well with the other fabrics in the same load, neither taking up or giving off any color. Ironing was super easy too and the fabric maintained its orientation very nicely. I love the feel of the fabric after it was laundered, light weight yet no see through.
Great Fabric Source
This was my first time shopping with Fabric Wholesale Direct. The site is very well organized which makes it easy to find fabric types without endless scrolling. [I appreciate having my time respected.] Nevertheless, I ended up buying a fabric I hadn't been searching for. This site has such diversity in its stock that I noticed it had true, made-in-India madras - something I hadn't been able to find for several years! So, I bought the madras first and will come back for the other good stuffI saw. If you're looking for fabrics to make unique clothes and crafts you can't find in brick and mortar or online stores, FWD is the place for you!
Madras cloth is easy to work with, no complaints.
