Cotton Flannel fabric is a medium weight, insulating fabric woven in a plain weave style that is very soft and plush. Cotton Flannel fabric has a thick fluffy feel and is notably insulating for increased warmth. Cotton Flannel has a loose weave constructed with 100% natural, hypoallergenic cotton fibers and is a medium-weight fabric. After weaving, our Cotton Flannel fabric is brushed on both sides to increase softness, thickness, and insulation.

Cotton Flannel fabric is a loosly woven fabric, use clothespins to secure the fabric when sewing and to avoid any holes left by sewing pins. When sewing Cotton Flannel fabric any thread can be used, however, a 80/12 sewing needle is recomended. Lastly, finish Cotton Flannel seams with zigzag stitches or use and overlock / serger machine to finish edges and prevent any fraying.

Great for Jedi Robes!
I used this fabric for some Jedi Robes and it turned out great! Inspired by Romana from Doctor Who, I wanted to make a Jedi version of the character and this fabric was the sweet spot of affordable (seriously, you need *so* much fabric for Jedi robes if it's all going to be in one color) and the right color (since most of it was going to be pink!). I did wind up lining the pants just to be on the safe side, though. The picture was taken by my friend Monica (thisdorkynerd on the socials) and doesn't picture the hooded robe I made to go with the outfit. The main parts of the robes/pants are this fabric in pink and the trim is the burgundy color.
