Description
Panne velour velvet is a medium weight high-quality fabric that has a smooth backing and a textured 100% polyester velvet front. This velvet is extremely soft and plush that it is even comparable to silk velvet fabrics. This extravagant velour velvet has a slight vertical stretch and has a lighter gsm compared to micro velvet. The polyester content makes it ideal for washing, although we do recommend taking extra care, such as hand washing this fabric in order to retain the high-quality of the fabric.
This fabric is available in large quantities in various colors and can be used for numerous applications. It is great for apparel such as dresses, jackets and pants, as well as costumes, upholstery, and decorative purposes. This fabric is also perfect for crafts and various creative projects.
With thousands of yards available, in numerous colors, you are sure to find the exact velvet that works for you. This fabric is manufactured by Fabric Wholesale Direct, cut to order and sold by the yard.

The light weight velvet I needed
This is a light weight velvet as described with a slight stretch....ideal for some fashion uses but I was using it as the backing for an art project. The price is ideal for this purpose

not what I expected
First let me say the order was easy to place and arrived very quickly. It was velvet but it was not the velvet I was expecting. I thought I was buying a completely non stretch velvet ... I was able to make it work for my project but it wasn't what what I was actually looking for.
