This is a lightweight fabric with a tight weave, luminescent sheen and slight mechanical stretch. The description of the fabric was that it was taffeta-like so I thought that it might be perfect for my project. When it arrived it turned out to be exactly as I had hoped, perfect. It was very easy to sew and the project turned out beautifully.

Fantastic Sturdy Fabric
I needed some nice looking and stiff fabric to withhold a lot of stress for a ballgown. I had sewn on Christmas garland, flowers, and LED lights to a ballgown skirt with this taffeta as the lining. And it held up great! There were no tears in the dress from where all of my decorations had been sewn on, even after dancing and twirling and walking about for hours. This also worked great as a lining for my bodice as well. Definitely going to keep this taffeta in mind for any future dress projects.

The satin is heavier and on the stiff side with just a tiny bit of luster, perfect for a matte satin. Great for structured items.

Just what I needed
The perfect weight. The hand-feel isn't stiff and plastic-y like some polyester satins. Exactly the colour I needed it to be.
