This fur is a nice, short pile and extremely soft. Perhaps a bit softer than I needed it to be. Cutting fur is always a task, and generally cutting just the backing with short snips minimizes the mess. But this fur sheds a LOT at the cuts. I had to keep a shop vac handy for every cut and still ended up with a lot of stray fur!
