Standard 9 Wale Corduroy is a soft textured, crisp, and durable fabric. Sourced from 100% cotton fibers, this hypoallergenic textile is woven on a loom which creates 1/8-inch wide, fibrous cords that run parallel to the selvedge of the fabric. Measuring 59/60 inches wide, Standard 9 Wale Corduroy is 0.75 millimeters thick, has a 290 GSM, weighs approximately 15.3 ounces per linear yard, and features 9 wales, or cords per linear inch of fabric.

The best corduroy!
I absolutely love this standard wale corduroy by FWD! It’s so easy to work with. It washes well. I didn’t notice major shrinkage. The color holds up after washes. I purchased in the color brick and made a blazer and pant. I will not hesitate to purchase more. *Note: if making a pant out of this fabric, you should probably use an interfacing with the waistband. Although it’s a woven fabric, it ever so slightly stretches after hours of wear. It recovers fine when washed.
