Woven from hypoallergenic, 100% cotton fibers on a loom, Standard Wale Corduroy is made with cords that run horizontally throughout the fabric. These cords, also known as wales, appear 11 times per inch of fabric and repeat every 1/8 of an inch, vertically. Standard Wale Corduroy fabric measures 58/59 inches in width, is 0.70 millimeters thick, has a 295 GSM, and weighs approximately 14 ounces per linear yard. A medium to heavyweight fabric, Standard Wale Corduroy is a sturdy fabric that has a heavy drape but can also easily conform to any shape.

I like the fabric, good colors when available. I have used the burgundy and the black so far. I was surprised to find a 1/2" hole in the black fabric. Luckily, I was able to still cut out my item, and keep the hole in the seam allowance.
