Featuring a soft base woven from fibrous chenille yarns, this 100% polyester fabric is embellished with a lustrous and metallic floral design. The straight grain motif on Victorian Damask Metallic Chenille Upholstery Brocade Jacquard runs horizontally, parallel to the selvedge, and repeats every 14 inches vertically (measured from selvedge to selvedge), and 20.5 inches horizontally (measured parallel to the selvedge). Measuring 57 inches wide, Victorian Damask Metallic Chenille Upholstery Brocade Jacquard fabric is 1.60 mm thick, has a 450 GSM, weighs approximately 21.9 ounces per linear yard, and has wrinkle resistant properties.

Swath seemed nice
We ordered several swathes of various burgundy fabrics to see what might work for curtains in a historic home. Of the swathes we ordered, the Victorian Damask was in a class by itself. Unfortunately, we were hoping to also get the unadorned base fabric (velvet/velour) to make matching valances, but FWD customer service said they don’t carry it. Because of that, we are undecided whether we will purchase the Victorian Damask. But if you are looking for a heavy Victorian/Edwardian fabric, this one is definitely worth a look.
