This process, in addition to the 95% polyester and 5% spandex fiber content, allows ITY Knit fabric to stretch 40% vertically, and 20% horizontally. Additionally, ITY Knit Jersey displays noticeably bright and vivid colors, due to the fabrics' polyester make-up taking dyes well. Measuring 58/60 inches in width, ITY Knit fabric is 0.53 millimeters thick, has a 240 GSM, and weighs approximately 12 ounces per linear yard. Since I used three separate fabrics I will post two separate reviews on each items page. Fabrics used in this project were a small piece of Power Mesh (for back band), Red ITY, and Red Crystal Organza. The ITY was not difficult to sew with and has a very generous stretch in both directions. The color is rich and true to image. It isn't too thick to get hot but definitely provides some warmth. Its not see through in any colors I've used before - red, royal blue, purple, black. I recommend a zigzag stitch and a brand new stretch needle to avoid missing or popped stitches.
