Blast from the past!
This worked up just as I remembered. Light weight cotton for summer. I made a beautiful full A-line dress I plan to wear out this summer. I have more to make a button down shirt from and bought even more I will line to make aprons for Christmas this year. Its to thin to catch any real mess by itself. You will love the light feel and good quality.
Madras Plad Fabric #15678
Just finished cutting out this plaid. Making shirt for High School senior He is looking forward to wearing it. I think this fabric is of very good material as is all of the fabric that I purchased. I do not have photos of the project yet.

Makes period costumes look authentic
I've ordered this plaid fabric last spring and made a 19th century dress for the costumed educators at Hale Farm & Village to wear since madras plaid looks authentic of that time period. Madras plaid was very popular for dresses from the 1850s on. I've seen old photos of women in madras plaid dresses taken during the Civil War. I've just last weekend ordered more madras plaid fabric (styles 15678 and 15953) to make two more period dresses for the costumed educators at Hale Farm & Village. It hasn't come yet.
