Madras is a great fabric for summer shirts
Washed and dried without color loss or bleeding. Requires ironing as expected for 100% cotton. Pattern retains squareness without shifting from during the pre-washing proce. This made cutting out easy. It sews beautifully and easily. For that reason it is a great beginner fabric.

So pleased with the madras plaids I had to order more in other color ways. I do hope some of the out-of-stock colors return. I made the grainline scout t and can see it getting a lot of wear.

I decided to use it for a gathered neckline dress because it's thin and it won't be bulky when it's pulled by the elastic. I flatlined the waistband and skirt with muslin to give it a bit of stiffness because after washing, it does wrinkle a bit. The fabric pattern is exactly like the photos and works well for my wardrobe
