Excellent fabric for a 19th century dress!
I ordered this fabric and gotten more than halfway through making a 19th century period dress for the costumed educators at Hale Farm & Village in Bath, Ohio. This plaid makes the dress look more authentic of the 19th century. When I saw this ad popping up on my computer and it's extremely authentic 19th century looking and 100% cotton I decided to order it and make a period dress for the costumed educators at Hale Farm & Village. I've made quite a number of 19th century dresses for the costumed educators at Hale Farm & Village over the past decade. I've seen old photos of women in plaid dresses of this kind of plaid dating back to the Civil War. I'm in the process of starting an online business of making and selling 18th and 19th century dresses using my hobby to make a profit. I highly recommend this plaid fabric for historic costumes!
