Micro velvet is a medium weight high quality fabric that has a smooth back and a textured 100% polyester velvet front. This velvet is extremely soft and plus that it is even comparable to silk velvet fabrics. The polyester content makes it ideal for washing, although we do recommend taking extra care, such as hand washing this fabric in order to retain the high quality of the fabric. This luxuriously soft velvet is a non-stretch fabric that is slightly heavier gsm than its stretch velvet counterpart.
This fabric is available in large quantities in numerous colors, and can be used for numerous applications. It is great for apparel such as dresses, jackets and pants, as well as costumes, upholstery and decorative purposes. This fabric is also perfect for crafts and various creative projects.

Thank god I switched fabric companies
I just got my two micro velvet fabrics in the mail. I am amazed at the quality. I recently started making a particular type of craft which requires different colors of velvet. I went online, I didn’t know any better, and I ordered from online fabric.com or something like that. I just looked at their photos and they looked good, and I didn’t know who to pick. So I picked them and I regret it. I don’t want to say anything bad about another company, but your quality, is so much higher. I am going to order from you from now on. The other company, I ordered 1 yard of deep brown velvet, and when I received it, there were areas of the velvet where it looked like it had been almost rubbed off, or was very very thin. I ordered deep purple and magenta velvet from you … Wow! The feel, and rich color of it, it’s so superior to the other company. Wow what a difference quality makes. Thank you
