Cotton Velveteen is a soft, crisp, and stretchy fabric. Sourced from a blend of 97% cotton and 3% spandex fibers, Cotton Velveteen fabric can stretch 20% vertically, perpendicular to the selvedge, and also displays a plush, raised face side with a smooth back. The soft and fibrous texture of this fabric is achieved by floating additional threads with slack, horizontally into a plain-woven base. The slack is cut, resulting in a fabric that displays short, raised fibers on one side, while the other side appears uniformly woven and flat. Cotton Velveteen fabric measures 58/59 inches in width, is 0.53 mm thick, has a 235 GSM, and weighs approximately 10.71 ounces per linear yard.
